Best Days

Hello Stamping Friends,

It’s been a long time and I’m sure you don’t want to hear the whys and whats so lets just get on with business.

I CASE’d this card idea from a fellow demonstrator, Nancy Ferb Shares.  The stamp set Beautiful Day carried over into the current catalog.  It really lends itself to coloring with Stampin’ Blends.  I just was having a hard time figuring a good layout for a card.  Then I happened upon Nancy’s post and had to give it a try.  I started with a base card of Bermuda Bay.  I stamped partial images of the butterfly from the set on Whisper White card stock. I used Bermuda Bay and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends for the wings.  The inside of the wings were colored with Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody.  I adhered the Image to a Basic Black background and then to the base card. I am planning something similar for the large flower which is part of this stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please let me know if you have questions or comments.  As always I would be happy to help you place an order so you can enjoy my love of stamping.

Baby Wipes and Daisy Lane

Hello My Stamping Friends, I am feeling better day by day.  I have been spending time in my flower gardens.  That always makes me happy.  I decided to use the baby wipes technique and water color paper to create the background for this card.  I used Rich Razzelberry and Gorgeous Grape ink refills on the baby wipe.  The Rich Razzelberry definitely over powered but I still like the result.  I stamped the large daisy image from the Daisy Lane stamp set a few times and filled in the spaces with the smaller daisy.  I stamped two large daisies and used the Daisy punch to punch these two daisies. I added this piece to a base card of Blackberry Bliss and the banner is Merry Merlot.  A bit of  strange combination but I think it works just fine.  See what you think.

Climbing Roses

Hello Stamping Friends, It won’t be long before the new catalog is introduced.  I am going to miss quite a few of the retiring stamp sets. The new catalog is pretty awesome but it’s hard every year to give up those favorites.  My hubby and I have a large country garden.  Roses are a big part of our garden so I thought I would use the Climbing Rose stamp set to create today’s card.  I started with a base card of Very Vanilla CS.  The next layer is DSP that is retiring.  I stamped the roses from the Climbing Roses stamp set onto Very Vanilla CS.  I used Stampin’ Blends to color the image and then added Wink Of Stella for a little sparkle.  I wanted some of the DSP to show through so I punched a two inch hole opposite the stamped image.  I was planning on doing this card at my class last Saturday but God had other plans.  I had to cancel class because of a reaction I was having from the antibiotics I was given for my cat bite.  Things didn’t get any better and finally I ended up in the emergency room on Thursday.  I know your thinking what took so long before I went in.  I’m a retired nurse and we tend to make terrible patients.  I was waiting to improve by time.  When I had a 101 degree temp I figured it was time.  I am feeling much better than Thursday but not back to full speed.  I have 2 weeks of treatment and hopefully continue to improve daily.  If you know me personally you know that I hate slowing down.  Sometimes I’m not given a choice.  Thank you for hanging in there with me. Take a look at the card and let me know what you think.

It’s Been A Long Time

Good Morning stamping friends,

I have so many reasons why I haven’t been able to post for almost a month.  The biggest reason was my computer.  We purchased a new PC and it has Windows 10.  My son who owns his own technology business set up the computer on Easter Sunday.  I tried to import my pictures and get to my blog but since I am not computer savvy I was out of luck.  Fortunately for my son but unfortunate for me his business is very busy.  He has access to remote into my computer and thought he had me set but I still had issues.  So finally yesterday, Mother’s day he has me squared away and I think I know what I’m doing.  While this was happening my 10 year old cat who is not getting along with our new addition, bit my hand (a deep bite).  I am getting infusions for my RA and because it messes with my immune system I went to Urgent Care immediately.  So I had to keep the hand wrapped for 7 days and take a nasty antibiotic.  All is healing well.  I have had little time to be creative so today I want to share with you some of the cards made by my downline, Dawn.  She is so talented and needs to be recognized for her creativity.  Please take a look. Let me know if you have comments.  I will be sure to pass them on to Dawn.

Oops!

Hi Stampers,

In my earlier post today I gave measurements for the base card.  Unfortunately I gave you the wrong numbers.  The base card is 4 1/4 by 11.  The score lines are at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4″ from each side.  The rest of the card is all ok.  Sorry for the mix up.
