Beautiful Baubles

Hi Stampers,

I have been working on simple Holiday cards that could be made in multiples without a lot of fuss.  Even though this card looks time consuming it is not.  I started with a base card of Whisper White CS.  The next layer is DSP from the Joyous Noel series.  Unfortunately this DSP is backordered and doesn’t have an available date yet. On a piece of Whisper White CS I stamped the pine branch with Mossy Meadow ink from the Christmas Pines stamp set.  Hanging from the branch is an ornament from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set.  I stamped it with Versamark ink and then used Gold embossing powder to emboss it.  I colored the ornament with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  I stamped the bow from the Wishing You Well stamp set with Pool Party ink and fussy cut it before I added it with dimensionals.   Really easy, really simple.  Take a look and let me know your feelings.  Thank you as always for taking time to stop by.

Stylish Christmas

Hi Stampers, It’s a beautiful, sunny morning in Wisconsin.  Makes it a little difficult to concentrate on holiday projects but you and I know it will be here before we know it.  Today’s card is really very easy but also has a wow factor.  I used the Stylish Christmas stamp set with the swirly image and holly leaves stamped with Old Olive ink on Whisper White CS.  I added the poinsettia with Real Red ink.  This is one of the “DisINKtive” stamps sets.  This makes the flower look real.  I adhered the Whisper White CS to a layer from the Dashing Along CS.  This was a special offered with a $250 order a few months back.  It really is beautiful paper.  The base card is Really Red CS.  It is really amazing how just the right Designer Series paper can make creating pretty simple.  I added pearls to the center of the poinsettia to complete the card.  I hope you like it as much as I do.

A Whole Lot of Everything

Hi Stamping Friends, I’m having fun playing with the new Snowfall thinlits.  They will be available November 1 for everyone but demonstrators have a little extra time to check them out.  There are two coordinating stamp sets but I am using just the thinlits for this card.  I started with a base card of Blueberry Bushel.  I love this blue because it is just a tad brighter than Pacific Point and not as dark as Night of Navy.  I think it is great for snowy cards.  On the next layer a piece of Whisper White CS I used the largest snowflake thinlit with the embossing pad.  I love that you can use your thinlits to emboss and cut.  I used the Stitched framelits in two sizes.  The smaller square is colored with Blue Brusho and splattered with Copper Shimmer Paint.  The larger square is painted entirely with Copper Shimmer Paint.  I cut two smaller snowflakes from the Snowfall thinlits set and attached them to the blue square.  The greeting is stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink and is from the Bring On The Presents stamp set.  So there is a lot going on here but it still was very simple to complete.
Let me know what you think and if you would like to become a demonstrator and get to play with the products early drop me an email and I will get you started.  I will answer all your questions.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

A Joyful Season

Hi Stamping Friends,

I know it has been a bit of a lapse between posts but sometimes life just has other plans.  I had a stamping class this past week end and I have had some time to try a few different techniques getting ready for the class.  I can’t wait to show you some of the things I have been trying.  Today though I have a pretty simple card that still has a wow factor.  I used the Joy and Noel stamp set for the image stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White CS.  I used the Stampin’ Blends to color the image.  I love to color, always have.  If you haven’t tried the Stampin’ Blends yet, you want to seriously consider trying them.  I love the fact that shading is so easy with these alcohol markers.  I adhered the image piece to a background I created by using regular markers on acetate then spritzed and pressed onto a piece of Whisper White CS.  I know it is mostly covered by the image but it really is fun to try.  I added this to a base card of Merry Merlot.  This is one of my new favorite colors.  Very close to cranberry.  A really rich color.  I added a few sprig images from the Mistletoe Season stamp set in the corners. of the image piece to finish the card front.  Take a peek and let me know what you’re thinking.

Toil and Trouble

Hi Stamping Friends,

This is a little switch up for me.  No stamping on this card at all.  That proves that Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper can hold its own.  I started with a base card of Lemon-Lime Twist CS followed by a layer of Gorgeous Grape CS  I embossed the Polka Dots with the embossing folder on a piece of Pumpkin Pie CS.  I had Gorgeous Grape circles left over from another project and you know me, I like using my scraps.  I fussy cut a hat and cauldron from the Toil and Trouble DSP and added those to the Gorgeous Grape circles.  I also punched a cat from the same paper with the one and a quarter inch punch and attached that as well. I attached these to the front with dimensionals.  The striped piece is part of the Toil and Trouble CS.  It makes a great border.  Hope this gives you some ideas for using your DSP in different ways.  The only drawback is if you don’t like fussy cutting.  Many of the DSP’s have dies that match so you might not have to fussy cut them.    Enjoy!
