New Product Fun

Hi Stampers,

As you may already know the new annual catalog is stuffed with awesomeness.  I have been busy gardening so I haven’t had a lot of time to play but I took a few minutes to whip up this card.  I hope you enjoy.

I started with a base card of Mint Macaron  CS (so glad this came out of retirement).  The next layer is Fruity Flamingo .  I used the new Tufted Dynamic Impressions Embossing folder on the last layer of Petal Pink CS.  I love this folder.  It’s so elegant.  I stamped the flower image from the Painted Harvest stamp set with Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo inks.  The leaves are from the same stamp set stamped with Pear Pizazz and the new Mossy Meadow inks.  I fussy cut the images and used Tombow mono glue to adhere them to the card front..  Originally I was going to stamp the images on Whisper White CS for a fourth layer but then it would have been hard to see the effect of the Tufted embossing folder.  That’s it for today.  Back to the weeding.  Thanks for sharing your time with me.

It’s All About the Scraps

Hi Stampers,

I was straightening my craft studio today and came upon some unfinished projects mostly left over from previous classes.  I recently had cataract surgery so thus the delay in posting.  After the first eye my vision was amazing in that eye.  I had the second surgery a week later.  Now no more glasses. I do need readers for close up work.  Luckily this does not affect my crafting ability.  It just takes a little getting used to.  So back to today’s card. I found the Whisper White CS already attached to the Basic Black  CS.  I had pieces of the Share What You Love DSP left so I added that to the Basic Black layer.  I had cut circles with the Layering Circles thinlits for a recent class so I added that to the center of the card. It just so happens that the berry striped piece is the reverse of the flowery side of the DSP.  I had a black dragonfly, cut out using the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits left from another class I added that to the center of the circle and there you have it.  I hope you enjoy looking.  I truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by.
