Sweetly Simple

Hi Friends,

June first is right around the corner.  That’s the day everyone can order from the NEW annual catalog.  I want to share so many of the new products, but if you are like me if I see a card or anything I like and it’s not available I get a little grumpy.  I am using a stamp today from the Love What You Do stamp set .  This is available to everyone now in three different bundles.

I started with a base card of Bermuda Bay CS . The next layer is Melon Mambo CS which I ran through the Big Shot with the Lovely Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder.  I stamped a portion of the blossom from the Share What You Do stamp set on Whisper White CS. I used Bermuda Bay and an aqua painter to color this.  I cut this out with the Stitched Shapes framelit and adhered it to a slightly larger piece of Basic Black CS.  A simple ribbon completed the card.  Take a peek and let me know what you think.

Thank you for taking time out of your day to stop by.  I am headed outdoors right now for the rest of the day to put my flower babies in their beds.

Love What You Do Again

Hi Stampers,

With the early release of the Love What You Do stamp set I have been trying to use it to create projects which you can CASE .  This is a very simple card but still so pretty.  I started with a base card of So Saffron followed by the next layer of  Pacific Point CS.  On the final layer of Whisper White CS I stamped the background stamp with So Saffron ink.  I used the dots from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set, and I used the same ink to stamp the blossom from the Love What You Do stamp set which is Pacific Point. I used Old Olive ink to stamp the greenery from the same set.  Even though this card was easy to create it still packs a peck of pretty.  Please let me know what you’re thinking.  As always thanks for stopping by for a peek.

Pretty Paper

Hi Stampers, With the new annual catalog you will find many surprises.  While there has always been pretty designer series paper in the Stampin’ Up! catalogs this catalog which you can place an order from June 1 has exceptionally pretty paper.  The card I am sharing today has very little stamping but a combo of papers makes it sweeter than sweet.  I used Rich Razzelberry CS as my base card.  I added a piece of new DSP that has a few scattered splashes of Rich Razzelberry like areas.  The wow layer is the new detailed laser cut specialty paper. That’s it.  I added a blossom from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set.  Beneath the blossom I added a bow made with the new Polka Dot Tulle ribbon.  You can color this ribbon to match any ink color you have. That’s a win win.  Take a look and let me know what you’re thinking.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Love What You Do……and I do

Hi friends,

I have made some strong decisions in the past week.  It has been almost three weeks since I was in Boston.  Overuse of my feet caused pain, swelling and bruising.  I am slowly improving on most days but then there are those others when it’s not so great.  Along with the foot issues I also developed a horrendous upper respiratory infection and have been pretty much out of commission for the past 2 weeks.  I have a very compromised immune system because of the meds I was taking for my RA.  So I have decided to stop all meds and live with the pain of RA.  This is the second major infection I have had and I know if I have another I may not recover.  So that’s that and onward we go.

Yesterday was the first day to order the Share What You Love suite.  The designer paper in this series is amazing.  I used one of the NEW colors as my base card.  It’s called Petal Pink but I think it comes close to the old Crisp Cantaloupe which I really missed when it retired.  Because this DSP is so pretty you really don’t have to go overboard with embellishments.  I  added a piece of the DSP beneath a piece of Vellum.  There is a little sneak peek on the Vellum. See if you can find it.  The greeting is from the Southern Serenade stamp set.  I fussy cut four of the flowers from the same DSP and attached them to the corner.  I tangled some black thread behind two banners made from the reverse side of the DSP and the Classic Label punch.  I hope you enjoy looking.  I truly appreciate the time you take from your day to stop by for a peek.
