Painted With Love

Hi Stampers,

I apologize for the lack of posting.  My creativity is stifled by the Wisconsin Winter weather.  My studio has a poor heating system which my sweet husband has been trying to improve but short of a propane heater with an open flame we haven’t found a solution.  I really am not keen on the propane thing.  Dave had to convince me the kitchen wouldn’t explode with a gas stove so there will be no propane in my creative space.  So I have been dragging things back and forth to our den to get ready for last week’s class.  Now both my den and my studio are a mess.  Top that off with a few medical issues and you might understand where I’m coming from.

I do have a card I absolutely love that was featured in my class this past Saturday.  I started with a base card of Whisper White CS followed by a layer of Pink Pirouette CS then another layer of Whisper White and finally the DSP that has it all from the Painted With Love series.  I embossed the flowery heart from the Heart Happiness stamp set with gold embossing powder and used a framelit from the Sweet and Sassy framelit set to cut it out.  I stamped the smaller heart with Calypso Coral ink and then the tiny flower in the center with Memento Black ink.  I used Stampin’ Write markers to color the flower.  This was also cut out with the Big Shot and another framelit from the same set as the larger heart.  The larger heart was adhered with snail adhesive and the smaller heart was added with dimensionals.    I thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoy what I have to share.

Time to Start the Heart

Hi Stampers,

Have you had a chance to browse the NEW Occasions catalog?  If you have you know it is packed with exciting products.  An added benefit to any order of $50 or more also gives you the opportunity to chose freebies from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  There are some really great choices this year.  If you don’t have a catalog drop me an e-mail and I will get one in the mail to you.  You can also order on line and I would be happy if you chose me as your demonstrator.

One of the exciting new products is the Brusho Crystals.  They are creatively addicting. The possibilities are endless.  I used the Brilliant Red Crystal Colour to create the background for this card.  Starting with watercolor paper I spritz with water and then added a very small amount of the Brusho Crystals.  I used my  Aqua Painter to spread the color.  I used my heat gun to speed up the drying process then spritzed again lightly with water, added a few specks of Crystal Colour and this time did not add more water or move it around.  I like the speckles this leaves. I used Memento Black ink to stamp the flower image from the Lots of Lavender stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  I colored the image with the Stampin’ Blends. I used two heart framelits from the Sweet and Sassy set to cut two hearts from the image.  After I adhered the watercolor background piece to the Pink Pirouette Base Card I attached the two hearts back into the image with dimensionals.  I doubled up on dimensionals for the smallest heart in the center so that it stood higher than the first heart.  I hope you enjoy today’s share.  Thank you as always for stopping by.

Come Color With Me

Happy New Year Stampers, It has been a blustery, frigid end to 2017 and beginning to 2018 here in Wisconsin.  I have been hunkered down indoors for the last two weeks. Only walking my dogs when Dave was out of town.  My craft studio’s heater couldn’t handle the sub zero temperatures so I have been stifled.  Yesterday I took my Stampin’ Blends and a piece of Just Add Color DSP and crawled into our bed and colored.  Today I finished the card with a base of Calypso Coral CS.  I used the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder to create the background.  As a last thought I colored an extra cup, fussy cut it and added it with dimensionals.  The new Occasions Catalog which you can begin ordering from tomorrow has awesome DSP, Petal Passion.  It is ideal for all kinds of coloring techniques Don’t forget Sale-a-bration starts tomorrow.  For every $50 you purchase you can choose free product from the Sale-a-bration catalog.  There are also a few higher end Sale-a-bration choices for $100 purchases.  This is one of the most awesome times of the year to get started with Stampin’ Up!.  Let me know if you need help either ordering or joining. Next on my agenda is playing with the Brusho Crystal Colour.  Take a look at today’s share and let me know what you’re thinking.  Thank you so much for taking the time to check this out.
