This morning I woke up a little dizzy. I have a tendency to not drink enough fluids so I really made an effort to hydrate myself. I was supposed to be having lunch with a group of retired nurses 45 minutes away but thought I probably shouldn’t be driving with a fuzzy head. Instead I stayed home and relaxed. My form of relaxing is creating. This is what I came up with.
There is an illusion going on here. It may look as though I fussy cut the entire flower from the Beautiful Day stamp set but in fact I stamped it on Whisper White CS, cut above and below the right side of the image and then only fussy cut that small portion around the leaf. I sponged the background with Old Olive ink and the edges with Pacific Point ink. The greeting is also stamped with Pacific Point. I used my Stampin’ Up! water color pencils to color the image in Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie. The center is Daffodil Delight. I used Old Olive and Pacific Point for the leaf. I wanted to continue tying in the Pacific Point so I adhered the Whisper White CS to Pacific Point CS and then to the base card of Old Olive CS. This is another of those cards that loses it’s impact in photography. I am pleased in the end result. Let me know what you think and as always thanks for stopping by.
PAWS TO PONDER
Hugs and happy stamping, MB
