You’ve Got This

Hi Stampers,

Today’s card is one that the picture does not do justice.  I started with a piece of Blushing Bride CS cut out with the Lots of Labels framelit die.  I used a brayer and Blushing Bride ink to color the top one third of the cut out label, then Pink Pirouette ink on the bottom portion.  Lastly I used Old Olive ink and the brayer in the center of the label.  I stamped the image from the You’ve Got This stamp set with Archival Black ink. I used the Bold Butterfly framelit die to cut a butterfly from Whisper White CS.  I colored half of the butterfly with Blushing Bride and half with Old Olive ink.  Three little pearls and  a pink bow finish this card. I added the butterfly with a dimensional. The background paper is from the Succulent Garden series.  Please enjoy.

Birthday Blooms

Hi Stampers,

This is such a difficult time to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  We have seen the new catalog.  We were able to order early but there is a month until our customers can see it or purchase from it.  It is packed with awesomeness and it is so hard to wait.  Luckily many of our favorite stamp sets are in the new catalog.  So as not to abandon the old for the new I used one of my favorite sets for today’s card.

The base card is Pink Pirouette with a second layer of Wild Wasabi.  Beneath the Whisper White tag is a piece of retired DSP.  I used the Scalloped Tag Topper punch on the tag top.  I stamped the images from the Birthday Blooms stamp set with Archival Black ink then water colored the images with a new ink color, Powder Pink.  The stems and leaves are Old Olive ink.  I fussy cut the little bee from the Touches of Texture stamp set and sparkled up the wings with Wink of Stella.  When I first found out one of the new ink colors was a pink and a very soft pink I thought how would it differ from Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette.  I put all three colors together and Powder Pink is darker than Pink Pirouette and lighter than Blushing Bride.  So yes there is room for another oink.  It is the softest color and I love it.  I’m really not even a pink person.  I hope you’ll love it too.  Please enjoy today’s post and thank you again for taking time to stop by.

Sneak Peek Designer Series Paper

Hi Stampers,

Today I blended just a little sneak peek of one of the new designer series papers with a few of the products that are carrying over to the new catalog.  The HAPPY from the Celebrations Duo Textured Embossing Folder was embossed on Whisper White CS and then I used my brayer and Rose Red ink to color it.  The base card is Daffodil Delight CS.  Then the little sneak peek at one of the new DSPs. It’s called Delightful Daisy.  The entire pack is to die for.  I can’t wait until you can see it on June 1.  Don’t forget I will be happy to help you place your order.  I stamped two flowers from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set with Berry Burst ink and two with Daffodil Delight ink. Yep Berry Burst is a new in-color ink. Yay!  I used the Pansy Punch to cut them out.  I doubled them and rolled the bottom petals down and the top petals upward.  I haven’t embroidered or done needle point for awhile but French knots are so fun.I decided to fill the centers of the flowers with them.  I used dimensionals to attach the flowers.  What do you think?

Copper Foil Embossed

Hi Stampers,

Saturday was stamp camp day.  I had extra pieces cut so I decided to use some of those for today’s share.  I started with Night of Navy CS for the base.  On a separate piece of Whisper White CS I stamped an image from the Paisleys and Posies stamp set with Versamark ink.  I sprinkled Copper embossing powder over the Versamark and heat set the image.  I used Pacific Point and Tangerine Tango to color the inside of the image.  I used the Layering Ovals to cut the Whisper White CS.  I used Marina Mist ink to sponge the outside of the embossed image.  For the top of the card I used the Copper Foil paper and the Softly Falling embossing folder.  I wanted to tie together the copper embossing with the strip of Petals and Paisleys DSP on the bottom of the card.  I’m happy that this stamp set will be hanging around for the next catalog.  I have hardly used it enough.  Take a look and let me know what you think.

On-Stage Make and Take

Hi Stampers,

A few weeks ago you know I attended the local Stampin’ Up! On-Stage event in Minneapolis.  There were four make and takes for the event.  I hate to be rushed when I’m creating so I often take the materials home and finish them.  I knew I would be ordering all the sets used in the make and takes so finishing them wouldn’t be a problem.  The card I am sharing today is one of the make and takes.  The base card is Island Indigo.  The next two layers are from the new project of Stampin’ Up! that I can’t reveal just yet.  The little flowers are from one of the new stamp sets.  On the original card there was a fussy cut flower but I’m not big on pre-printed images so I used the butterfly from the Butterfly Basics stamp set instead.  I stamped it with the new Berry Burst ink.

I have stamp camp tomorrow and while I am all set I need to get a good night’s sleep so thank you for stopping by.  I hope you are inspired by today’s card.  Cards don’t have to be complicated to be special.
