Wow, what a difference a few days can make in Spring in Wisconsin. Last week we had a blizzard and today I’m watching Cardinals courting in the Birch tree outside our window and could walk the dogs with just a sweat shirt. Go figure.
Today I am sharing a card that came about purely by accident. I had stamped the Hardwood background stamp on Crumb Cake Cs to cut a berry basket with the Berry Basket Bigz die. I only needed half of the basket for the card I was making. When I looked at the scraps I had left one piece looked just like a fence. Imagine that. I needed something cheery so I sponged a background on Whisper White CS in Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Old Olive. Next I used Archival Black ink to stamp images from the Sale-a-bration Flowering Fields stamp set and the Butterfly Basics stamp set. I colored the images with Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Perfect Plum and Old Olive. I adhered the fence shape over the images. The fence post needed something at the top so I punched a 1/2 inch circle with the circle punch and added that to the top of the post. The base card is Pacific Point CS followed by Chocolate Chip CS. Let me know what you think. This was an easy card but it reminds me of Summer so I’m liking it!
As always I appreciate you stopping by.
PAWS TO PONDER
