Sorry for the delay in posting. I have been having a bit of a problem with my RA. Difficult to create cards when your dominant hand is on the fritz. A little better today so I was able to create one of those things that has been floating around in my mind for awhile. I love the shabby chic and vintage look so this satisfied both of those. Take a look and I'll tell you how I got there.
The base card is Crushed Curry CS followed by a piece of Farmer's Market DSP. The two inch piece to the left of the card is also from the Farmer's Market Series. I tore the edge to give it that old feel and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink. The pear is from the Apple of My Eye stamp set and is stamped on water color paper with Pear Pizzazz ink. The leaf is the same color and the stem is Soft Suede. I used the splatters from the Timeless Textures stamp set behind the Pear stamped in Soft Suede and Crushed Curry inks. The two inch torn piece is adhered over the second layer. Behind the pear image is a banner of Mossy Meadow Striped cotton ribbon. The pear is highlighted with Crushed Curry ink. I am really happy how this turned out. You know sometimes you have this image in your head but it just doesn't work out like you thought it would, but this one did. Let me know your thoughts. I'd love to hear from you.
I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Beth and Deb to my stamping team. They are two wonderful people who have a lot to offer.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
PAWS TO PONDER
Hugs and happy stamping, MB
