Garden in Bloom

Hi Stampers,

Boy don't I wish my garden were in bloom but instead we are having cold Winter winds.  I do have parsley and basil growing on my windowsill though so I do at least have a hint of things to come.  I'm just so tired of the cold.  Hopefully this card will warm your heart.  I started with a base card of Pacific Point CS followed by a layer of So Saffron CS,  The leaves are from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set stamped with Pear Pizzazz ink.  The smaller leaves are from the two step stamp set, Garden in Bloom.  The darker color is Garden Green.  The flowers are from the Garden in Bloom set as well.  The first step is Marina Mist ink followed by the second step with Pacific Point ink.  The greeting is from the same set.  Enamel dots are the only embellishments.

I hope you enjoyed today's post.  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by.

It’s Your Day

Hi Stampers,

My step daughter (I hate that term, makes it sound like something you walk on), turns 30 next week.  She's kind of bummed about turning 30 so I thought I would make her a sparkly card to celebrate.  She doesn't read my blog so I'm safe posting her card.

This is the first chance I have had to play with the Party Pop Up thinlits.  They are pretty slick.  Rachel's favorite color is purple so the base card is Wisteria Wonder.  I used a piece of the Birthday Bouquet DSP for the inside.  On the outside of the card I used Mint Macaron over the base card embossing it with the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I covered the embossed image with Versamark ink then Heat and Stick powder then Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  Heat setting after the Glitter really does hold it in place.  To coordinate the inside and outside of the card I used another strip of the Birthday Bouquet DSP.  The sentiment "It's Your Day" is from the Party With Cake stamp set.  I embossed it using a tinsel embossing powder (non SU). This is one of those cards that just looks better off camera.  I hope she likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thanks for stopping by.

Honeycomb Happiness

Hi Stampers,

Monday already.  I had a very busy week last week getting ready for my Saturday class.  We had a lot of fun and everyone was happy with their creations.  It was a great mix of stamping levels and a few of the gals jumped right in to help the newbies which was a great help for me.  I like to give everyone equal attention at my classes so that gave me an opportunity to lend a little more help to those just starting out.

The stamp set Honeycomb Happiness from the Sale-a-bration catalog, which by the way ends March 31, has been super popular.  Between the little chick and the ice cream cone I'm not sure which one has been more used.  I love the ice cream cone paper from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series paper.  I paired it with Mint Macaron CS as my base. The DSP near the bottom of the card is the flip side of the ice cream cone DSP.  The greeting on the banner is from another Sale-a-bration set, Perfect Pairings.  I stamped it with Chocolate Chip ink and used the Triple Banner punch to create the banner.  I also used the "sprinkles" from the Party with Cake stamp set to create the background for the Ice cream cone and the banner.  I used Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and Chocolate Chip inks.  I stamped the top of the cone on Whisper White CS in the same three inks and then used a dauber to give them a soft filled in look.  The cone part is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink on Crumb Cake CS.  I fussy cut the cone and the ice cream.  The ice cream is adhered with dimensionals.  I hope you enjoyed today's share.  Thanks for stopping by.

Petite Petals

Hi Stampers,

As I said earlier in the week, I have a class this Saturday.  I have a very mixed group of stampers from novice to advanced.  I have been trying to sort through ideas to keep everyone smiling. Today's card was totally CASE'd from Stamp Crab with the exception of the greeting which is from the Sale-a-bration stamp set Perfect Pairings.  So a big thank you for the idea.

The base card is Lost Lagoon card stock.  I used the one inch square punch to punch Whisper White squares to fit on top of the Lost Lagoon squares which were cut with the smallest of the Squares Collection framelits.  The Petite Petals were stamped with Memento Black ink onto Lost Lagoon CS and punched out with the coordinating punch.  I adhered the Whisper White squares to the Lost Lagoon squares with snail adhesive.  I added the petite petals with dimensionals.   Like I said easy, but I think it will keep everyone happy.  Let's hope so.

As always I appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

Very Vintage

Hi Stampers,

This is the card I promised yesterday.  It was a lot of fun to create. I hope you like it.  Please leave me a comment. I'd love to hear from you.

The base card is Old Olive followed by a layer of Crumb Cake CS.  On the Very Vanilla third layer I sponged with Crumb Cake and stamped images from the Timeless Treasures stamp set with Crumb Cake ink stamping off for a few of the images.  Next I roughed up a scrap piece from the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper and sponged it with Crumb Cake ink.  The dots were originally white on this piece.  I adhered a piece of Victoria Crochet Trim over this piece and adhered this to the Very Vanilla layer.  The flower image is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set.  I stamped it with Chocolate Chip ink and water colored it with Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Delightful Dijon inks.  I fussy cut the image and adhered it to the Very Vanilla layer with snail adhesive.  I cheated and cut the small flowers out singly and drew the stems on with a marker.  The greeting is also from the Birthday Blooms set and is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.  The enamel dots are left over from the Christmas collection but worked perfectly here.  Just a little tip. The Timeless Treasures stamp set is very popular.  I recommend getting it as soon as you can so you won't be disappointed.  It's kind of like the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set was when it was first introduced.  No one thought they liked it at first and now it is one of the most popular.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today.
