It’s My Party

Hi Stampers,

New Year's Eve.  I can hardly believe another year has gone by.  I wonder what 2016 will have in store not only for me but for everyone.  I hope we all enjoy a more peaceful, loving, giving world. PEACE TO ALL.

Today I mixed a NEW embossing folder, Confetti Textured Impressions with a NEW stamp set You're So Lovely and the NEW designer series paper It's My Party.  I have been aching to try the combination of Rich Razzelberry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron for a few months but the Christmas Colors interrupted that thought.  So now it is time for something fresh and new.

The base card is Rich Razzelberry followed by Melon Mambo and ending with Mint Macaron.  The Mint Macaron layer was run through the Big Shot with the embossing folder.  I topped it off with the It's My Party DSP.  The greeting is stamped with Rich Razzelberry and adhered with dimensionals inside of an off centered two inch circle of Melon Mambo.  The greeting seems appropriate to start the New Year.   I hope you enjoy.   Thanks for stopping by.

Reverse DSP

Hi Everyone,

As promised yesterday the card today shows the reverse side of the DSP I used on yesterday's card.  This is the reverse of that soft pretty Mint Macaron floral DSP.  I again used the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies for the flower and leaves.  The leaves are cut from Old Olive CS as is the greeting banner.   The greeting is from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set. The DSP is from the Botanical Gardens series.  I cut the flower from Crushed Curry CS sponged it with Daffodil Delight.  The base card is also Daffodil Delight.  I used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch to add a little pizzazz to two of the corners on the DSP layer.  I wanted the leaves to have a little dimension, but not as much as a dimensional so I only used snail adhesive on the bottom of the leaf so I could pull the remainder of the leaf up.  I did the same with the flower, attaching it only in the center.  I think you can see the versatility you have when purchasing Stampin' Up!'s quality Designer Series Paper.  Thanks for looking….

Botanical Blooms

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the absence in blogging but with the holidays things got pretty busy and my family always comes first.  I used almost all NEW products on today's card.  The Friendship greeting in the inside is from the Garden In Bloom stamp set.  Oh how I wish my garden was in bloom right now.  We had a foot of snow overnight.  We knew it would turn into a Wisconsin Winter eventually but it didn't have to come all at one time.

The base card is Garden Green. I used the Botanical Blooms stamp set which has two step leaves and blossoms to stamp the outside background with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow inks.  The Botanical Builder Framelits dies created the portion on the front of the card that the Daffodil Delight ribbon is threaded through to create the bow.  Of course I had to sponge the edges of the leaves with Mossy Meadow ink.  The inside of the card is from the Botanical Gardens DSP.  When January 5th rolls around this is one pack of paper you're going to want in your stash.  The owl in the picture was a gift from my dear friend and neighbor.  She is always there when you need her.  Take a look at today's card and let me know what you think.  I'll be back tomorrow to show you the reverse side of this DSP I used today.  You're going to be surprised.

Place Cards

Hi Stampers,

I have a wonderful neighbor with a heart of gold.  She brings us home made desserts, soup and other goodies all through the year.  She made 284 decorated cut out cookies and assorted candies and breads which she gives to everyone. She is a retired chef whose husband passed away nine years ago. She is hosting Christmas dinner for her daughters and a close friend and asked if I would make place cards for her.  I used the Peaceful Wreath stamp set and Very Vanilla CS stamped with Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler inks to create these place cards.  I added rhinestone embellishments and adhered the names with dimensionals.  She loved them.  See what you think.
