Flower Combo

Hi Stampers,

Wow! Wait until you get your hands on the new Stampin' Up! catalog.  I have been through all 192 pages twice already and have 3 pages of must haves.  When the company retired some of my favorites I thought it would be hard to replace them but not to worry.  I guess that's why Stampin' Up! is and always has been so successful.  They stay ahead of the game and their prices are fair and quality top notch.  I am so proud to be one of their independent demonstrators.

Wait until you see the new 2015-2017 in-colors.  They are awesome!

For today's card I used one flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set and a few from the Flower Shop set. Neither of these are retiring.  I stamped on Whisper White CS with Pacific Point and Daffodil Delight inks. I used the leaves from Kinda Eclectic stamp set in Old Olive ink.  I adhered the stamped image to Pacific Point CS and then to a Daffodil Delight CS base.  I know you can't see it in the picture because it is white on white but before I stamped any of the images I used an embossing folder and White Craft ink to create a background. (Look at the large blue flower and the leaves you can see the imprint on them).  You can use any color ink and any embossing folder to do this.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments. I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful Bunch

Hi Everyone,

I am starting to plan my May stamp classes.  I have been working with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set since it is one of the sets that will still be available after June 2.  I love the Cherry Cobbler color and the Back to Black DSP together so I combined the stamp set with these and came up with this 001

I stamped two of the images from the Beautiful Bunch set with Cherry Cobbler ink on Whisper White CS then colored them with Real Red stamp and Write marker and then shaded with Cherry Cobbler marker.

The leaves are stamped on Whisper White CS with Pear Pizzazz ink and fussy cut.  The leaves are from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set.  I adhered them with dimensionals. A strip of Washi tape on the right side of the card is the only embellishment.  I mounted the Whisper White piece onto Back to Black DSP and then onto the base card which is Cherry Cobbler.

Stop back tomorrow to see what I brainstorm for today.

Thanks for stopping.

Sweetbriar Rose

Hi Stampers,

What a beautiful Monday. Sunshine, birds singing, blue skies.  It can only get better, right?

We had a busy week end. Our oldest grandson, Mason had a soccer game Saturday.  It was cold, but fun to watch.  Then we took his dad and him to lunch.  It is deja vu watching my son and grandson together. Yesterday my daughter, Dana and I went shopping and had lunch at Tom-Chee.  It's a restaurant that serves grilled cheese and tomato soups.  You can build your own sandwich or choose from their selection. Dana had a macaroni and cheese sandwich. I'm not sure about that but she said it was delicious.

I have been dabbling with some acetate ideas and this started out as something entirely different.

I embossed the Sweetbriar Rose image with black embossing powder onto the acetate.  I colored in the image on the reverse side with stamp and write markers.  I heat set them but oops I guess I didn't wait long enough before try to adhere it because it started to smear.  I decided I would sponge the Whisper White CS with Rose Red and Garden Green inks in the areas that would match the image.  I ran the acetate through my largest Xyron machine and adhered it to the sponged CS.  The ribbon is Pink Pirouette.  I stamped the greeting onto the ribbon with Memento Black ink.  It is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Thanks for looking.  Please let me know if you have questions or comments.  I would love to hear from you.

Darling Little Purse

Hi Stampers,

I have seen this little purse on several demonstrator websites but Billie Moan from Rambling Rose Studio was kind enough to share the dimensions.  Here is my version.

I think this is perfect for a little gift for birthdays, get well wishes, showers, retirements.  Filled with candy, gift cards, lotions and shower gels, a gift in this little cutie would be sure to get some oooohs and awwwws.

Thanks for looking.

Flowering Flourishes

Hi Stampers,

As you probably know the Stampin'Up! retiring list has been released.  I am glad that the Flowering Flourishes stamp set is not one of the retirees.  It's a very versatile set.  I often use parts of the flourishes as leaves with flowers from other sets.  Here I used it white embossed on a water colored background on Whisper White CS.  It is adhered to a Lost Lagoon base. The second layer and the accent strip are from the Adventure Bound DSP stack.

Check out the retiring list for up to 50% savings on a ton of products.  The sale will go until the new catalog release, June 3 but the supplies are limited and only available while they last.

Thanks for looking.  Have a great day.
