Giggle Greetings

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had a good week end.  I spent time in my garden on Saturday but yesterday was devoted to making cards.  I had a workshop on Wednesday using the Giggle Greetings stamp set.  I had pieces left over so decided to use them differently than we did then. 001

I used Whisper White CS for the base card and layered Cherry Cobbler CS next.  I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to create the background and mounted it on Basic Black CS to make it pop. I colored the bowl of cherries with stamp n write markers, fussy cut it and adhered it over a stamped image of the same bowl of cherries. That way I didn't have to worry about the cherries not having stems or try to cut them out. You could also free hand the stems if you wanted.  Check out the full set of Giggle Greetings and remember you can shop right from this blog 24/7.

Thanks for looking.  Have a great Monday.

Wildflower Meadow

Hi Everyone,

Today's card features an older but still simply beautiful single background stamp and embossing folder duo.  I used Bermuda Bay ink on the background stamp and then ran it through the Big Shot with the matching embossing folder.  This is a really simple card that takes hardly any time at all and yet the results are beautiful.  The stamp and folder are available as a bundle which always saves you 15 %. Shop here any time 24/7.

Building Excitement

This is the first year I will be attending the convention for Stampin Up in Salt Lake City Utah.  My upline, Renee is taking me under her wing this year to get me acquainted with the convention process.  We leave on July 16 and return on the 20th.  I am getting more excited every day but have a lot to do before we leave.  I have two workshops and an open house planned.  The basket for the church auction was happily accepted and appreciated and my friend, Wendy, liked her birthday gift too so all is good. 002

This is one of the cards in the church basket. I used the Polka Dot Pieces stamp set.  It is one of my favorites.  The greeting is from the Birthday Wishes photopolymer set.   Hope you enjoy looking.

Stippled Blossoms

001
I am working on several sets of cards at once for a birthday gift and for a basket for the silent auction at our church picnic this week end.   This is one of the cards using new CS and new ink colors. This is the new Tangelo Twist CS with co-ordinating DSP Color Collections Brights.  This is a double sided designer series paper. The flower is done with the Stippled Blossoms stamp set which is a two step stamp.  This allows two colors on one image to accent each other.  I used Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey inks. The greens are Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green.  The greeting was stamped from the new Endless Birthday Wishes photopolymer stamp set onto one of the frames from the Four Frames stamp set, also NEW!!

I hope you are enjoying all the new products shown. Remember you can order 24/7 right from this blog. If you have any comments or questions I would be happy to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping.

Traveler

I spent the last two days with my son and daughter-in-law and four of my six grandchildren. My daughter-in -law and her friend had a garage sale and were gracious enough to let my daughter and I add our things to the sale. I had a lot of fun and it gave me time to spend with the kids.  I forgot how hot the sun is on a cloudy day and I'm paying the price a little for that but otherwise all is good.

Today's card is created using new stamps from the Traveler set and the background stamp Dictionary. I stamped the Dictionary stamp onto Very Vanilla CS with Baked Brown Sugar ink mounted it to Old Olive CS. I used a piece of burlap ribbon for the banner and by running it through the medium Xyron machine it made it adhesive and prevents ravelling. I stamped the suitcase from the Traveler set with Early Espresso ink onto the dictionary background and onto a piece of Baked Brown Sugar CS. I fussy cut the suitcase and used dimensionals to pop it over the other stamped suitcase.  This way I didn"t have to worry about cutting out the handle on the suitcase.  The greeeting is from the Express Yourself stamp set.  Stop back to check out more ideas this week with the new stamp sets. 002
