Blendabilities

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day.  For those of you who don't know my second passion to crafting/stamping is gardening.  To give you an idea the amount of flower gardening my husband and I are involved in, it takes hubby 20 minutes to cut the lawn and 20 minutes to trim.  When we first bought the house it was like every other house on the block. You know, lawn, trees rock mulch (cardinal sin).  It didn't take this old farm girl long to change the city boy I married into a country guy.  He loves the gardening now as much as I do.  So our week-end was spent getting our "palette" ready.  I'll post pics when we are in full bloom.

Now to the real purpose of this blog.  I am excited about all the new products being released in the new Stampin Up catalog June 2.  You can view it on line starting then. If you place an on line order from me of $50 before shipping and tax I will send you your very own FREE! 002

This card was created with the new Blended Bloom stamp and the newest product the blendabilities. I used the new ink color Blackberry Bliss blendabilities set on water color paper.  The blendabilities are an alcohol ink marker sold in color sets of three.  So easy to use and perfect blending.  Stay tuned for more projects using these awesome new products.

Thanks for looking.   Hugs and happy stamping, MB

Busy Bee

I never realized how long it would take to move my old craft area to my new one…whew!  I have been busy, busy, busy all week.  My contractor friend shorted me on shelving so it has held up the complete move.  That's actually worse than not moving at all.  Half the things I need are in one room and half in the other. If nothing else I'm getting a lot of exercise.

I had a small class today and we used the new area, which my husband refers to as the studio.  I was born and raised on a farm so that sounds a little snooty to me but whatever you call it, I'm happy with how it has turned out.

I did find time after the class today to whip up this card. The butterfly is the only stamped part. I stamped it twice and cut out the mid section of the second stamped image. I popped it onto the first image that I punched out with the butterfly punch from Stampin Up.  002

Hopefully the week ahead will give me more time for stamping. Til then…

Layering Technique

I didn't quite get around to posting yesterday as I promised. I am still transitioning my craft studio.  A huge job but so worth it in the end.  When it is finally completed I will have space for my classes and for my own creating.  I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my family.  I did manage to squeeze in time to make this layered card. 001

I used Crumb Cake CS for the base with the Hexagon Hive embossing folder.  Then I stamped the largest evergreen from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set five times on Whisper White CS.  I used five different sized ovals from the Ovals Framelits set to cut out portions of the stamped images and mounted them with dimensionals.  This is really a fun technique, pretty quick with magical results.

Hope you enjoyed.  Thanks for looking.

Another Simple Stems

This card is another created from the Simple Stems set and the 6 x 6 inch whisper white cardstock that was turned into a versatile print using Crisp Cantaloupe, Tangerine Tango and Pistacchio Pudding inks. 002

See how easy it can be !  This week end I will be busy continuing the transition of my craft studio, having lunch with my family, scooping up Eric Church tickets and getting in a nap or two. See you back here Monday.  Have a great week end and Happy Mom's Day to women everywhere!

Simple Stems

During our last Team meeting we created 6 cards. The printed portion of all 6 cards was made by stamping onto Whisper White card stock 6 x 6 inches using Tangerine Tango, Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistacchio Pudding ink with the Simply Stems stamp set.  001

These are two of the six cards.  A few pearls and white ribbon finished these cards nicely.  It's fun to create your own print background with your choice of ink colors and a simple set of stamps.

I'll be back tomorrow with another card from this set.
